I'm asking about plans on support of DMC-FZ100's RAW format by Microsoft Camera Codec Pack that is distributed through Windows Update and available in download centre.
According to the support article, it supports DMC-FZ150's RAW files. When I tried to open the *.RW2 files of my DMC-FZ100, Live Photoalbum and Windows Picture Viewer both say that picture format is not supported. Metallica Albums Zip. This functionality is not essential, but thumbnailing of these RAW shots would be nice, especially since only 1 year younger FZ150 is fully supported.

FZ100 isn't among the supported models, we can download and install the MS Codec Pack hundreds of times, but that won't help. The file may be unsupported, damaged, or corrupted. Gta 5 Mods Xbox One here. ' They are not damaged, nor are they corrupted. They are in fact UNSUPPORTED! There is no appropriate Codec that Panasonic or Microsoft has released that allow for viewing or editing of these files on a Windows 8.1 64bit run computer. Lightroom supports them, and a program called FastPictureViewer does as well. Really this is something Microsoft and Panasonic should put on their to do list ASAP since there are quite a lot of cameras that Panasonic makes that are using this format.
Hi, Thank you for providing more information. It looks like Panasonic has released download for Windows 7/Vista. What happens when you install these codecs? This Software is a plug-in software that enables the display of LUMIX RAW image files(which have the extention of.RW2) when installed in Windows Vista ® / Windows ® 7 for Windows Explorer or Windows Photo Gallery in the same way as JPEG files. As a work around, you may try installing the codec in Windows 8 compatibility mode to see if that helps.
